Ahead of the Giro d'Italia, EF Education-EasyPost has revealed the special edition kit that the team will be racing for the next three weeks in Italy.

As a result of the team's regular bright pink race kit, the American outfit has made a change to a more subdued kit for the first Grand Tour of the season so as not to clash with the maglia rosa of the race leader.

The black kit still features flavours of the original EF kit for 2024, with flecks of pink and yellow adorning the jersey, with just the main colours swapped.

The team have not yet said much about the the style choice for the Giro switch-out kit, but Rapha did take to Instagram to show off the new jersey.

Accompanying the post, the brand said: “Since 2020 Rapha & EF Pro Cycling have taken to the stage at the Giro d’Italia in a switch-out kit design, to prevent a clash with the Maglia Rosa.

"This 2024 edition features reworked phrases in ‘Italian’ such as VAI, In Bocca al Lupo and PIZZA PASTA SCALA FASTA – typographic trinkets to motivate our brave athletes and celebrate Europe’s most jaw-dropping grand tour. Che bella!"

The team will also be worn by the women's squad, EF Education-Cannondale, when they race the Giro d'Italia Women in July.

Rapha's post concluded by saying the kit will be "launching next week", so if you want to get your hands on this special Giro edition of the popular EF kit, it doesn’t look like you will have to wait long.

“We will be releasing both a special edition Pro Team Training Jersey with the same switch-out livery and a Pro Team Aero Jersey with an abstracted version of the design for a more streamlined aesthetic," the brand said.

This is EF's second special kit of the year, after they wore a vintage-inspired Rapha jersey during the main Spring Classics.
