The revamped kit that Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe will wear at the Tour de France and beyond has been leaked this week, with the German team going navy in a design that evokes Max Verstappen and the Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team colours.

Bora-Hansgrohe is set to become Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe from July, after the energy drink and marketing company bought a controlling stake in the team earlier this year, and they will now feature prominently on the jersey to be worn by Primož Roglič and co this summer.

The kit leak was initially reported by Austrian newspaper Krone Zeitung two weeks ago, with WielerFlits reporting this week that they had also received the mock-ups. GCN understands that the designs being circulated are accurate.

Moving away from the eye-catching green geometric design that Bora currently race in, the new jersey is navy blue, featuring the iconic Red Bull logo front and centre on the chest and back, with the Bora and Hansgrohe logos just below.

The other sponsors for the team remain the same, and are dotted around the jersey.

The mock-ups feature the Sportful logo, suggesting that the Italian cycling clothing brand will continue to produce the team’s kit.

Moving to navy blue, the kit takes a clear step towards the race kit worn by Red Bull’s biggest and most recognisable sports team, the Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 team that is home to world champion Max Verstappen.

When the news of the Red Bull takeover first emerged, it was not immediately clear what involvement the brand would have in the team. However, it was confirmed last week that they would become primary naming sponsors, and the leaked kit seems to confirm that Red Bull want the cycling team to somewhat align with their other sports outfits.

Several outlets have also reported that the team's helmets will feature references to Red Bull, though perhaps not so prominently as the distinct Red Bull helmets, which are given to athletes with personal sponsorships with the brand, and is seen as a badge of honour in off-road cycling. Current road racers who are Red Bull athletes include Wout van Aert, Tom Pidcock and Zoë Bäckstedt.

The team will officially become Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe ahead of the Tour de France, with the kit likely to be revealed around that time.
