Blanka Vas (SD Worx) is a multi-discipline talent who at the age of just 22 already has multiple WorldTour stage wins to her name and several national honours. The Hungarian native started in mountain biking, inspired by her father who raced in MTB marathon events, before turning her hand to cyclo-cross and road.

Vas has an astounding 17 elite national titles on her palmarès thus far, (5x cyclo-cross, 4x time trial, 3x road race, 3x cross-country MTB, 1x short-track MTB and 1x marathon MTB) with her first national champion's jersey arriving at the age of just 18.

The Hungarian honed her cycling prowess on the mountain bike trails, with five MTB World Cup podiums and a fourth-place finish at the Tokyo Olympic Games under her belt, however, she's been more prolific in cyclo-cross and on the road in recent years.

Despite only just moving into the U23 ranks, she soon claimed her first major elite podium, as runner-up to Marianne Vos at the 2019 Ethias Cross Essen. In 2021, she won her first UCI CX World Cup round in Overijse, finishing second at the European Championships a week later.

On the road, Vas' powerful, puncheur-esque style helped her seamlessly adapt to WorldTour racing. She joined SD Worx in 2021 after just over a year with continental team Doltcini-Van Eyck Sport, finishing ninth in the GC at the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta before second and fourth at the U23 European Championships road race and elite World Championships road race respectively.

In 2023, she claimed the biggest wins of her career so far, taking a stage win at both the Tour de Suisse and the Giro d'Italia Women.
