Helmet brand MET has launched a brand new Tadej Pogačar-inspired line of its Trenta 3K carbon helmet, with each item coming in its own unique design.
As helmet provider for Team UAE Emirates, MET has been the helmet sponsor of two-time Tour de France winner Pogačar since his arrival onto the WorldTour. To celebrate this successful partnership, MET set out to create "something that was as unique as him, a true individual" with their latest release.
What they have come up with is a limited edition version of their top-tier Trenta 3K carbon helmet. In order to meet the design brief and make it truly individual, MET has used a technique they have called 'living liquid' to manufacture the outer part of the helmets, which feature a shimmery, multicoloured pattern.
As a result of the liquid technique, the polycarbonate shells that make the outer face of the helmet are all slightly different in design and appearance. When these are fitted to the helmet they offer "unlimited combinations" creating a unique and one-off design for each item.
One feature of this helmet is the inclusion of Mips AIR technology, which, perhaps more importantly than the striking design, focuses on the safety and protection the helmet offers.

The padding on the new helmet features "the lightest and most advanced rotational management system on the market", according to MET. This protects riders by "reducing rotational energies transferred to the head during specific angular impacts", meaning parts of the helmet will twist by 10-15mm during impacts and lessen the blow to the head.
The helmet also features other nods to Pogačar, not least spacious air vents to allow for the tuft hairstyle that the Slovenian has affectionately become known for.
The helmets also all feature Pogačar's logo, designed in-house with MET, which is a monogram combining his initials.
"The name’s initials 'T' and 'P' are simplified with a nimble and dynamic shape identifying him and symbolically embodying his activities, achievements, goals, and signature tufts," MET said.
